Past Year's Confluence

“Truly unlike any AEC event I have ever attended”

Gabe Paez, Founder & CEO, The Wild

At Confluence you have direct access to product and technology providers and an opportunity to influence industry direction.  The annual Confluence 3-day event is invite only and limited to 50 participants.  We find this format provides an opportunity for engagement throughout and to build lasting relationships with thought leaders from across the industry.

We have an information-rich, fun-filled 3 days planned for you!  Kentucky is such a wonderful place to visit any time of year but as you’ll see October is something special.  Many Confluence attendees bring a significant other so we’ve also created a special +1 agenda to complement their time in Lexington.

2023 Theme | Realities of AI + ML

This year we’re exploring the possibilities, and more importantly, realities of AI + ML.  Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are quickly advancing with public accessibility to LLMs such as ChatGPT and generative image platforms such as MidJourney and Dall-E.  Each of these advancements in the field of AI stir the imagination and present endless possibilities for improving our designs, workflows and ultimately the built environment we inhabit.  What better time to explore the realities of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the AEC industry.

Join us as we explore AI + ML’s impact on areas such as Visualization, Generative Design, Text-to-BIM, Knowledge Capture and Virtual Assistants.

Confluence 2022

This year we’re hosting a half day AI Workshop on Friday.  The workshop will be facilitated by Mehdi Nourbakhsh with the following goals:

  • Develop a shared understanding of AI concepts, terminologies, capabilities, limitations,
    and potential applications.
  • Gain valuable insights into the fast-evolving AI trends and the latest market applications.
  • Develop the ability to connect AEC business problems with potential AI solutions.
  • Understand how AI relates to the day-to-day tasks of design and construction.
  • Understand how AI is disrupting current design and construction business models.

Confluence centers around 10 hours of structured conversations spanning 3 days, with a variety of local and regional activities including the infamous Bourbon Trail and an afternoon of thoroughbred horse racing.
